  • This paper introduces the basic elements of the lunar space weather and the importance of its prediction, reviews the progress of space weather detection and research, and surveys the key scientific problems of lunar space weather and the problems of its prediction application. Based on future lunar missions, the idea of establishing a Moon-based space weather monitoring station is put forward, and its composition and scientific objectives are introduced, so as to enhance human’s understanding of the basic process of the solar terrestrial lunar space weather and improve the capability of the lunar space environment forecast support service.
